Ivory Coast’s Evan Ndicka recovers after health scare

Ndicka

Ivorian footballer Evan Ndicka has fortunately recovered well after a concerning incident during the Serie A match between AS Roma and Udinese, where he experienced discomfort, sparking fears among fans and teammates alike.

Thankfully, the Ivorian international’s condition has stabilized, with reports indicating that he is in good spirits.

However, he remains under observation and is set to undergo a series of medical tests before being discharged from the hospital.

The alarming moment unfolded when the Paris-born defender collapsed on the pitch, clutching his chest, prompting immediate medical attention and his subsequent evacuation to the nearest medical facility.

Referee Luca Pairetto intervened, halting the match at the request of AS Roma and with the agreement of Udinese, underscoring the seriousness of the situation and the priority placed on player welfare.

Ndicka’s Journey with AS Roma
Ndicka, a central defender, joined AS Roma during the previous summer transfer window, arriving as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Throughout the season, he has featured prominently for the “Giallorossi,” making 27 appearances across all competitions.

Despite not finding the net himself, Ndicka has contributed to the team’s efforts with two assists, showcasing his defensive prowess and versatility on the field.

As Ndicka continues his recovery, the football community breathes a collective sigh of relief, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing player health and well-being in the fast-paced world of professional football.
