Ivory Coast winger Junior Hamad Traoré ruled out of Marseille’s clash against Strasbourg
Ivory Coast international Junior Hamad Traoré has been ruled out of Olympique Marseille’s upcoming French Ligue 1 clash against Strasbourg, manager Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed.
Marseille travels to face Strasbourg in a high-stake clash on Friday, September 26, 2025 without the enterprising attacker due to an injury setback.
The 25-year-old winger joins Central African Republic captain Geoffrey Kondogbia as the major absentees for the upcoming clash.
“Apart from Kondogbia and Traoré, all the players in the squad will be available this Friday against Strasbourg,” said De Zerbi at the pre-match conference.
Since joining Marseille in the summer from Bournemouth, the 25-year-old forward has racked up one appearance without scoring or assisting a goal.
The forward is on a season-long loan at Marseille and is expected to play a huge part of the club’s campaign.
Traoré, born in Abidjan, has made eleven appearances for the Ivory Coast national team, scoring two goals since his debut in 2021.
