Emerse Fae, the former Ivory Coast international, had to end his football career prematurely at the age of 27 due to four phlebitis (vein infections associated with the creation of blood clots). Despite the bitter end to his playing career, Fae transitioned to coaching. He is currently the assistant coach of the under-17s at OGC Nice, his last club before health issues forced him to retire from professional football.
