Mamadou Koné, Vice-President of Asec Mimosas, Passes Away
Mamadou Koné, vice-president of Asec Mimosas and president of the National Action and Coordination Committee (CNACO), passed away last Tuesday at a clinic in Abidjan.
The club’s chairman, Roger Ouégnin, expressed deep sorrow in a statement released on Asec Mimosas’ official website:
“We announce with great sadness to the extended family of Asec Mimosas and all Ivorian sportsmen and women the death of Mr. Mamadou Koné.”
According to the club, Mamadou Koné died on December 9 at 2:40 p.m. at the Plateau Medical Group after a prolonged illness.
