Ivory Coast midfielder Odilon Kouassi has joined Umm Salal SC from Danish club AC Horsens, completing his move to Qatar on 3 August 2026.

The 20-year-old central midfielder moves to Umm Salal, who play in the Qatari Second Division, after spending the previous season with AC Horsens in Denmark’s Superliga. Kouassi returns to a new club after beginning the 2026-27 campaign with Horsens.

Kouassi is 1.87m tall and was registered as a central midfielder during his time at Horsens. He did not make an appearance for the Danish side in the Superliga before switching clubs this month.

The move follows a spell with French club FC Versailles during the 2025-26 season. Kouassi joined Versailles from AC Horsens on loan on 14 July 2025 and returned to Horsens when that temporary arrangement ended on 30 June 2026.

He first moved to AC Horsens from FC OSA on 29 January 2024. His transfer to Umm Salal therefore represents his latest change of club after a period that has included football in Denmark and France.

Kouassi was born on 13 October 2005 and holds Ivorian nationality. He joins Umm Salal at the age of 20, with the Qatari side becoming the latest club of his senior career.

He has now completed his move from AC Horsens to Umm Salal SC.
