Ivory Coast international Kafoumba Coulibaly is set to return to the pitch in approximately three weeks, according to the player’s own statement to sport-ivoire.ci. He suffered an ankle injury during his debut match with his new club, Kasimpasa, in Turkey.
The injury has kept Coulibaly sidelined for a month, and he has been experiencing ankle pain. While surgery remains a possibility, the player is optimistic about a return to action without the need for surgical intervention. If all goes well, Coulibaly is expected to make his comeback in the last week of November.
At 27 years old, Kafoumba Coulibaly has had previous stints with Sasana Football Club in Thailand and KSK Beveren in Belgium. He was trained at ASEC Mimosas in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Notably, on February 26, 2011, during the 25th day of the French Ligue 1 championship season 2010/2011, Coulibaly scored a memorable goal for his former club, OGC Nice, against AS Saint-Etienne at Geoffroy-Guichard.
