The former president of the Ivorian Football Federation, Jacques Anouma, experienced an eventful day on December 24, as he was reportedly arrested by the police in Abidjan. The arrest was related to Anouma’s alleged use of a lane exclusively reserved for buses, leading to a fine being issued by the police. Despite his influential stature, Anouma did not appear to sway the police. However, he is expected to resume his activities in the coming days, particularly during the General Assembly of AFAD (Amadou Diallo Football Academy of Dékanou), where he serves as president. Anouma is the sole candidate for succession in this position.
