Ivory Coast international David Datro Fofana linked with moves to England, France and Italy

Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana is drawing transfer interest from clubs in the Premier League, Ligue 1 and Serie A, with Crystal Palace, Toulouse and Fiorentina among those reportedly making contact over a potential deal.

The 22-year-old Ivory Coast international, whose contract with the Blues runs until June 2029, spent the first half of last season on loan at Turkish side Göztepe.

He scored twice in nine league appearances before a thigh injury sustained on 7 December sidelined him for the remainder of the 2024–25 campaign.

Despite his long-term deal, Fofana’s future at Stamford Bridge appears uncertain.

According to Africafoot, Chelsea are open to offers, with the forward valued at around €6m.

In England, Crystal Palace are said to have tabled a long-term proposal for the striker, though they face competition from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Interest is not limited to the Premier League, with French side Toulouse also keen to reinforce their attack with Fofana’s signing.

Fiorentina have reportedly joined the race from Italy, expressing their intent to bring the Ivorian to Serie A.

The Florence-based club are preparing for their season opener against Cagliari, but transfer activity remains a priority before the summer window closes.

Fofana’s move to Chelsea in 2023 was seen as a major step forward in his career, but limited opportunities and injury setbacks have stalled his progress.

His brief spell in Turkey showed glimpses of his goalscoring ability, yet questions remain over whether he can reclaim the form that once made him one of Africa’s most promising young forwards.
