Ivory Coast get full house as Nicolas Pepe and Franck Kessie arrive in camp ahead of Ghana clash

Ivory Coast have a full house ahead of their opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash against Ghana, with the remaining members of the Elephants’ squad now in camp.

Following the first arrivals on September 20, the Ivorian internationals gradually reported to camp in Abidjan as preparations intensified for the September international window.

Franck Kessié, Nicolas Pépé, Yan Diomandé and Evan Ndicka are among the players who have joined the squad, giving head coach Hervé Renard a complete group to work with ahead of the crucial encounter.

The Elephants held their first training session in Abidjan on Monday, September 21, with the initial group of players available for the session.

With the squad now complete, the Ivorian team will leave Abidjan for Bouaké on Tuesday, September 22, where they will continue their preparations for the opening qualifier.

Côte d’Ivoire will host Ghana on Thursday, September 24, at the Stade de la Paix in Bouaké as both West African giants begin their quest to qualify for the 2027 AFCON.

The Elephants will now use their final training sessions in Bouaké to fine-tune their tactical approach and ensure the squad is ready for the highly anticipated encounter with the Black Stars.
