Ivory Coast forward David Datro Fofana has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers in the current transfer window.

Wolves are executing an aggressive effort to bolster their squad for the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign, with the 22-year-old attacker emerging as a priority target.

Fofana is currently not in the plans of Chelsea and is expected to depart the club before the start of the 2025/26 football campaign. The Ivory Coast international joined Chelsea in 2023, signing a contract until summer 2029.

In search of playing time, Fofana is expected to depart the Premier League giants and reigning Club World Cup champions, with Wolves expressing keen interest.

According to reports, Wolves, who are interested in signing the talented defender are prepared to cough £15 million for Fofana.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are currently considering the offer, but have not given an official response yet. Since arriving at Chelsea in January 2023 from Molde, the Ouragahio native has made just 4 appearances for the Blues.

He has since been sent out on three consecutive loans: to Union Berlin in Germany, Burnley FC in England, and Göztepe in Turkey.
