Séwé Sport Clinches Third Consecutive Ivory Coast League Title
Séwé Sport has once again asserted its dominance in Ivorian football by securing its third straight national first division championship. The San Pedro-based club sealed the title on Sunday with a commanding 3-0 victory over Stella d’Abidjan, maintaining their composure despite pressure from title challengers.
Sporting Gagnoa delivered an impressive 5-1 away win against AF Amadou Diallo but fell short of overtaking Séwé Sport in the standings. Meanwhile, ASEC Mimosas secured a place on the podium despite a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Abengourou in the final round.
The season ended on a disappointing note for Bassam and Bouaflé, both of whom were relegated. Bassam managed only a 1-1 draw against JCAT, while Bouaflé was held to a goalless draw by Korhogo.
