Didier Drogba is set to undergo surgery at the Aspetar center in Doha, Qatar, according to information from the daily Le Sport, as relayed by Sport-ivoire.ci.
The Ivorian national team captain has traveled to Qatar for medical interventions on his groin, which is the part of the body between the thigh and the trunk.
It is reported that this surgical procedure will not affect Drogba’s participation in the upcoming World Cup.
It’s worth noting that Drogba’s presence in Doha is part of a partnership agreement between the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) and the hospital center, signed on January 27, 2014.
Several Ivorian players have previously received medical assistance from this center, including Bamba Souleymane, Mathis Bolly, and Traoré Lacina.
