Simon Adingra scored twice to help AS Monaco take control against FC Nantes in a lively Ligue 1 encounter, with the hosts leading 3-1 at half-time.
The Ivorian winger, recruited during the winter transfer window, opened his account for the club in the 25th minute after a defensive mistake handed Monaco a clear chance.
Abakar Sylla’s miscontrolled back pass allowed the attack through on goal, and although goalkeeper Lopes initially saved the first effort, Adingra reacted quickest to finish the rebound from close range.
Three minutes later he struck again.
Set up by Golovin, the forward finished calmly to double the advantage and complete a rapid brace that immediately highlighted his impact in the Monaco side.
