Ivorian striker Yohan Boli seals two-year deal with Antalyaspor

Yohan Boli has completed his move to Turkish side Antalyaspor, returning to European football after five years in the Middle East.

The Ivorian striker, who had been a free agent following the expiry of his contract with Al Gharafa in Qatar, signed a two-year deal running until June 2025.

Antalyaspor confirmed the transfer on their official Instagram account, putting an end to speculation over his next destination.

Saudi club Al Shabab had made a late approach for the 31-year-old, but their efforts did not alter the course of negotiations already advanced with the Süper Lig outfit.

Boli, capped internationally by Côte d’Ivoire, now embarks on a fresh challenge in Turkey’s top division, where he will look to establish himself in one of Europe’s most competitive leagues.

Trained in France at CS Avion and CS Sedan, Boli first rose to prominence with Belgian club Sint-Truiden before moving to Qatar in 2020.

At Al Gharafa, he became a consistent presence in attack, though the opportunity to test himself at a higher level in Europe had long remained out of reach.

His move to Antalyaspor represents a chance to relaunch his career on the continental stage.

The next few months will be decisive for Yohan, noted local analysts in Turkey, who believe the forward’s ability to adapt to the tempo and physical demands of the Süper Lig will determine his success.

Antalyaspor see him as a valuable addition to their attacking options and hope his experience can provide both depth and reliability in front of goal.

Boli arrives with a current market valuation of around €2 million, according to Transfermarkt, underlining the expectations placed on him as he begins this new chapter.

For the Ivorian, the challenge will be to prove himself once again in a league known for its passionate fan base and high intensity.

Antalyaspor are preparing for their upcoming league clash against Samsunspor, where supporters may soon get their first glimpse of their new signing.

While it remains to be seen whether Boli will feature immediately, anticipation is already growing among fans eager to see what the Ivorian can deliver.

For Boli, this transfer marks not just a return to Europe but also a rare opportunity to cement his name at the top level.

After years away, the striker is determined to show that his journey is far from over—and that Antalyaspor may yet prove to be the stage where his talents truly shine.
