Valentin Yacabo Serebe has crowned an outstanding first half of the season by winning the Kosovo Super League’s Top Scorer of the Year award, underlining his rapid rise as one of the league’s most decisive attacking players with FC Ballkani.
The Ivorian forward, who joined Ballkani on a permanent deal last summer following a convincing loan spell that began in January, wasted no time asserting his importance.
From the opening weeks of the campaign, Serebe imposed himself as a constant threat in the final third, combining movement, power, and composure in front of goal to drive his team’s title charge.
Ballkani currently sit at the summit of the Kosovo Super League, and Serebe’s influence has shaped that position.
In just 16 league appearances, the 23-year-old striker has delivered 13 goals and added two assists, producing 15 direct goal contributions.
His consistency in decisive moments has given Ballkani a reliable edge in tight matches and reinforced their status as championship favourites.
The league formally recognised those performances during the annual gala organised by the Football Federation of Kosovo.
The Kosovo Super League confirmed via its official social media platforms that Serebe received the “Top Scorer of the Year 2025” award, a distinction that reflects both his numbers and his growing reputation within Kosovar football.
Serebe’s journey to this moment highlights resilience and rapid adaptation. A product of Zoman FC, the striker continued his development through varied European experiences before arriving in Kosovo.
Since pulling on the Ballkani shirt, he has shown tactical intelligence and a sharp understanding of the league’s demands, traits that have allowed him to settle quickly and excel.
Supporters and analysts now regard him as one of the competition’s standout performers. His ability to score from different situations, press defenders aggressively, and link play in advanced areas has added balance to Ballkani’s attacking structure.
Each performance has strengthened his standing as a leader in the squad, despite his young age.
As the second half of the season approaches, expectations around Serebe continue to rise.
Ballkani rely heavily on his goals as they pursue domestic success, while observers already view him as a player capable of sustaining his form and pushing the league’s standards higher.
The Top Scorer of the Year award not only rewards a prolific start but also signals a trajectory that points firmly upward for Valentin Serebe in Kosovo football.
