Ivorian striker Ben Hamed Touré ends Ajaccio Spell as he eyes next challenge
Ben Hamed Touré has confirmed his departure from AC Ajaccio, bringing an end to a three-year spell with the Corsican club.
The 22-year-old Ivorian striker announced the decision on Monday, 8 September, through a heartfelt message on his Instagram account.
In his statement, he expressed gratitude to the club, staff, and fans while reflecting on his development since joining Ajaccio in 2021.
Three years and seven months growing, learning, and fighting for AC Ajaccio. That’s where it all began for me in Europe. My first professional contract, my first matches, my first dreams come true, Touré wrote.
Today, a new chapter in my young career begins. A new challenge, new ambitions. I’m going to take a step forward, continue to progress, and become the striker I dream of being.
But before moving on, I want to thank from the bottom of my heart all those who were part of my Ajaccio adventure: my teammates, coaches, employees, supporters, volunteers… you all counted in my journey. My heart is with you in this difficult time. A club like Ajaccio is more than a club, it’s a family. I am and will always remain a great supporter of ACA. Thank you for everything.
Touré arrived at Ajaccio from Ivorian side LYS Sassandra in 2021 and quickly made an impression with the club’s youth and reserve sides.
His progress saw him score 10 goals in 28 appearances for the second team before breaking into the senior squad.
He made his Ligue 1 debut in May 2023 against Toulouse and went on to establish himself as part of the first team.
Across all competitions, he featured in 54 matches for Ajaccio, scoring seven goals and contributing three assists.
During his time with the club, the striker earned a reputation for his pace, determination, and eye for goal, making him one of the promising young forwards in Ivorian football.
Now a free agent, Touré is weighing up his next destination.
Although recent reports suggested interest from Turkish side Manisa FK, Ivorian outlet L’Intello du Foot Ivoirien has indicated that a move to a Ligue 2 club in France appears more likely.
His market value is currently estimated at €400,000 by Transfermarkt, with interest expected to grow as he considers the next step in his career.
For Ajaccio, Touré’s exit marks the loss of a player nurtured from youth to senior level, while for the striker it signals the beginning of a new chapter in his European journey.
