Racing Strasbourg has officially announced the contract extension of Ivorian midfielder Abdoul Ouattara.
The 19-year-old has committed to the French club until 2029, a significant step in his promising career.
In a statement released on the club’s website and shared across social media platforms, RC Strasbourg confirmed the deal, extending Ouattara’s stay by three years beyond his initial contract, which was set to expire in 2026.
Ouattara, a product of Strasbourg’s youth academy, is seen as a rising star. Currently valued at €150,000 on Transfermarkt, the young midfielder has showcased glimpses of his talent this season. He has made five Ligue 1 appearances, scoring one goal in just 64 minutes of play.
Additionally, he featured in a Coupe de France match.
Despite limited game time, the club sees immense potential in Ouattara. Reports suggest that Strasbourg is considering a loan move to FC Nantes during the winter transfer window to provide the talented midfielder with more opportunities to develop his game.
The new contract underscores Strasbourg’s confidence in Ouattara’s abilities and long-term potential, as the club seeks to nurture homegrown talent for future success.
