Ivorian international Odilon Kossounou emerges as Crystal Palace target amid Marc Guéhi uncertainty
Crystal Palace are weighing up defensive options as Marc Guéhi approaches the final year of his contract, with Ivorian international Odilon Kossounou among the leading candidates to replace him.
TeamTalk reports that Palace scouts have closely monitored Kossounou’s progress this season.
The 24-year-old, under contract with Atalanta until 2029, has also attracted interest from Manchester City, Tottenham and Aston Villa.
Kossounou’s market value stands at around €25 million.
He earns €1.85 million annually and has made 15 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring once and accumulating 1,050 minutes of action.
Guéhi’s possible departure has prompted Palace to explore immediate reinforcements, with Kossounou’s blend of athleticism and composure placing him high on their shortlist.
Palace’s next Premier League fixture is away to Fulham, where victory, a draw or defeat are rated closely by bookmakers.
