France-born attacker of Ivorian descent, Jean-Luc Dompé, has emerged as a transfer target for Bundesliga 2 side SC Paderborn as the January window approaches.
Dompé, whose contract with Hamburg SV runs until June 2025, appears closer to an exit after failing to agree on a contract extension with the club’s management.
As a result, a potential transfer looms, with Paderborn already positioning themselves to secure the winger’s services.
Reports from 225Foot suggest that SC Paderborn is exploring the option of signing Dompé on a pre-contract in January 2025, which would see him join for free at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old winger has been in impressive form this season, featuring in 15 matches across all competitions, scoring 5 goals, and providing 4 assists.
With his future at Hamburg uncertain, Dompé’s possible move to Paderborn would mark a fresh challenge in the German second division as the club seeks to strengthen its attacking options.
