Algerian outfit CR Belouizdad have completed the acquisition of Ivory Coast forward Jean Charles Ahoua in the current transfer window.
The 23-year-old attacker joins Belouizdad on two-and-a-half-year deal following his departure from Simba SC of Tanzania.
“CR Belouizdad is pleased to announce the signing of Ivorian striker Jean Charles Ahua (23) from Simba SC in Tanzania on a two-and-a-half-year contract.” Wrote the club.
The acquisition is viewed as a major boost for Belouizdad as they push through the remainder of the Ligue 1 season, with the club eager to strengthen its squad and remain competitive on both domestic and continental fronts. Ahoua arrives in Algeria with an impressive reputation built during his spell in Tanzania.
Earlier this season, he featured in three Tanzanian Premier League matches for Simba SC, registering one goal and one assist before completing his move. His most eye-catching performances, however, came last season, when the former Stella Adjame player enjoyed a prolific campaign, scoring 16 goals in 16 appearances for the Tanzanian outfit.
With his pace, finishing ability, and eye for goal, Jean Charles Ahoua is expected to add depth and attacking quality to CR Belouizdad’s squad as the club looks to maintain its status among Algeria’s elite.
