Ivorian defender Zié Ouattara: Radomiak Radom reject offer amid growing transfer interest

Ivorian defender Zié Ouattara: Radomiak Radom reject offer amid growing transfer interest

Radomiak Radom have rejected an offer from an unnamed Israeli club for Ivorian right-back Zié Ouattara, insisting the proposal falls short of the player’s value following a standout debut season in the Polish top flight.

Ouattara joined the Ekstraklasa side from Portuguese outfit UD Leiria during last summer’s transfer window and has since emerged as one of Radomiak’s most consistent and dynamic performers.

In 28 league appearances, the 24-year-old has registered three goals and two assists — an impressive return for a defender — drawing the attention of multiple clubs across Europe.

The Polish club, however, remains firm in its stance. According to sources within the club, the rejected bid did not adequately reflect Ouattara’s contributions or future potential.

Club officials have made it clear that while they are not opposed to considering a transfer under the right conditions, they will not entertain offers that undervalue the Abidjan-born defender.

“Zié has been one of our key players this season,” a club source commented. “His impact on the pitch speaks for itself, and we believe his value must be recognised accordingly.”

Still under contract until June 2027, Ouattara is not in any immediate rush to leave, and Radomiak Radom are under no pressure to sell. His long-term deal gives the club strong negotiating power as interest continues to build during the summer transfer window.

Transfermarkt currently values the Ivorian defender at €700,000, a figure Radomiak are expected to use as a baseline in any future negotiations.

Given his age, performance level, and remaining contract duration, the Polish side may even hold out for a significantly higher figure before considering letting him go.

The Israeli offer is not the only interest surrounding Ouattara. Turkish First League side Eyüpspor are also reportedly monitoring the player, having been impressed by his pace, physical presence, and attacking contribution from the flanks.

However, no formal bid has yet been made by the Istanbul-based club.

For Radomiak Radom, keeping Ouattara could prove essential in their ambition to build on a competitive campaign. His attacking thrust from the backline and defensive reliability have made him a fan favourite and an integral part of the club’s tactical setup.

While the player has not publicly commented on the transfer speculation, his performances suggest full commitment to the team. Whether he remains in Poland or secures a move elsewhere, Zié Ouattara’s stock continues to rise, and his future is likely to remain a focal point as the transfer window progresses.

As things stand, Radomiak Radom are holding firm. Any club hoping to prise away the Ivorian international will need to present a significantly improved offer that reflects both his quality and long-term potential.
