Oumar Diakité continues impressive run for Sturm Graz

Ivory Coast international Oumar Diakité continued his impressive start to life at Sturm Graz after scoring in their UEFA Europa League clash against Olympique de Marseille on Thursday evening.

The 22-year-old striker opened the scoring in the 13th minute, giving the Austrian side an early lead against the French outfit and further underlining his growing influence in attack.

Diakité joined Sturm Graz on loan from French club Stade de Reims during the summer transfer window and has wasted little time making his mark in his new surroundings.

His latest strike against Marseille on October 22 takes his tally to seven goals in seven appearances for the Austrian club, highlighting his remarkable consistency in front of goal since the beginning of the campaign.

The Ivorian forward has quickly adapted to his new environment, delivering the kind of performances that have made him an increasingly important figure in Sturm Graz’s attacking setup.

His ability to find the back of the net regularly has provided a significant boost to the team’s forward line, with his movement, attacking instinct and clinical finishing helping him establish himself as one of the club’s key players.

At just 22, Diakité appears to be enjoying a productive spell in Austria as he continues to build confidence and sharpen his goalscoring form.

With the season still ongoing, Sturm Graz will be hoping the Ivory Coast international can maintain his impressive scoring rate and continue delivering decisive contributions in both domestic and European competitions.

His performances could also strengthen his reputation as one of the promising Ivorian forwards making an impact in European football.
