Liverpool forward, Cody Gakpo, has expressed his desire to continue playing alongside Mohamed Salah for years to come.
As the festive season approaches, Salah leads Europe’s top leagues in goal contributions, highlighting his pivotal role in the team’s success.
Gakpo praised Salah’s exceptional skills, noting how he not only scores but also creates opportunities for teammates, including himself.
Following a commanding 6-3 victory over Tottenham, where Salah scored twice, Gakpo emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum as they prepare for their next match against Leicester City.
With Salah now fourth on Liverpool’s all-time scoring list, Gakpo acknowledged the Egyptian’s remarkable achievements and expressed gratitude for being his teammate.
“It’s very special what we are all witnessing,” Gakpo told the club’s website.
“The amount of goals he scores but the assists he gives as well, the way he plays the game, how he puts other attacking players or midfielders like myself in a position to score and to be dangerous is from a high level.
“I hope for us and for him that he can continue doing that for a long time. We are very lucky to have him and proud that we can be his team-mate and try to make him better. And he is trying to make us better as well.”
