Mamelodi Sundown goalkeeper Ronwen Williams believes it’s time for his outfit to annex the CAF Champions League title.
The South African giants are in the semifinals for the second time running after triumphing over Tunisian side Esperance 1-0 on aggregate, setting up a crucial encounter against giants Al Ahly.
Sundowns fell short to Al Ahly in the Champions League last season after succumbing to a defeat in the final.
However, Williams, who is the captain of the South Africa national team is hoping his outfit can annex the title this time.
‘This is our year for the Cup’ said Williams as he set sights on clinching the trophy for his outfit.
Mamelodi Sundowns will play to Al Ahly in the first leg of the crucial semifinals clash on April 19 before traveling to face the Egyptian giants at the Cairo International Stadium a week later.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper has been outstanding for Mamelodi Sundowns this season, making 58 appearances, conceding 30 goals and keeping 34 clean sheets.
