IF Elfsborg defender Terry Yegbe has responded to reports linking him with a move to the English Premier League but insists his current focus remains on his club.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian has reportedly attracted interest from Brighton & Hove Albion, with Fulham and Crystal Palace also monitoring his progress.
However, Yegbe, who is under contract with the Swedish club until 2028, has downplayed transfer speculation.
Speaking in an interview with Fotbollskanalen, Yegbe acknowledged the rumors but maintained that he is concentrating on his performances with Elfsborg.
“I’m just focusing on Elfsborg right now and making sure the team finishes as high as possible in the league,” he stated. “I also want to keep improving as a player. I don’t know what will happen in the summer or in the future.”
While he admitted that interest from major clubs was encouraging, he emphasized that no concrete talks had taken place.
“If those types of teams are interested, it’s obviously positive news,” Yegbe said. “I haven’t heard anything yet, but when big clubs show interest in you, it’s always a good thing.”
The center-back also shared his long-term career ambitions, making it clear that he hopes to reach the highest levels of the sport.
“My goal is simply to reach the highest level,” he added. “But I know I need to keep working and developing to get there.”
Yegbe has been a key player for Elfsborg, standing out with his strong defensive displays and leadership at the back.
