Morocco’s U-17 women’s national team faced their second loss in the group stage of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, falling 3-1 to Italy at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.

Italy struck early, with Giulia Galli opening the scoring in the fifth minute and doubling her tally in the thirteenth. Rachel Giudici added a third for the Italians, who dominated much of the first half and stifled Morocco’s attack.

Despite the early setbacks, the young Lionesses did not give up. The team rekindled hope in the second half, with Dounia Masmoudi finding the net in the 82nd minute, her goal a moment of pride for both the squad and home supporters. Though Morocco pushed hard to close the gap, Italy’s control proved too much on the day.

With this result, Italy sits atop the group with six points, while Morocco remains without a point after two matches. The experience is expected to provide valuable lessons for the Moroccan team, who are already focused on their final group match and the future ahead
