Racism Hits Balotelli Family Again as Younger Brother Faces Abuse in Italy
The Balotelli family has once again been targeted by racism in Italian football, with Enoch Balotelli, the younger brother of former AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli, becoming the latest victim.
Enoch, 21, who plays for Vallecamonica in the Lombardy Premier League, was subjected to racial abuse from opposing fans during a recent match. Speaking to the Italian press, he revealed the verbal attacks he endured: “They called me a black piece of s***, made monkey gestures, and started talking about Mario.”
This distressing incident follows similar abuse suffered by his older brother throughout his career in Italy. Despite the hostility, Enoch remained defiant, saying, “I don’t understand this harassment, but people who behave like this don’t deserve my attention.”
The episode highlights ongoing issues with racism in Italian football, underscoring the need for stronger measures to combat discrimination both on and off the pitch.
