AC Milan Unfazed by Balotelli’s Exit, Says Club Official
AC Milan appears to harbor no regrets over the summer transfer of Mario Balotelli to Liverpool. Despite his underwhelming performances in England so far, the sentiment within the Rossoneri camp is clear: the departure was a mutually beneficial decision.
Speaking to the media, Milan executive Umberto Gandini stated:
“Mario wasn’t the kind of player we were looking for to have a better team. He certainly felt the Premier League was the best place for him and he wanted to return there. Liverpool came at the right time. It just made everyone happy.”
While acknowledging Balotelli’s character, Gandini added:
“Mario is a very humble kid, very authentic, but he needs success. He still has to find his way in life.”
The message from Milan is unmistakable—Balotelli’s exit aligned with the club’s rebuilding vision, and they are not looking back.
