Italy-born defender of Nigerian descent, Destiny Udogie, has been identified as the player threatened with a gun by a football agent in England.

According to reports, the incident occurred in September, with London’s Metropolitan Police confirming that a 31-year-old man was arrested after allegedly threatening a Premier League player in his 20s.

After several weeks, Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb has revealed Udogie as the player involved, prompting Tottenham Hotspur to release an official statement addressing the situation.

“We have been providing support to Destiny and his family since the incident and will continue to do so. As this is a legal matter, we cannot comment further,” a club spokesperson said.

Despite the shocking ordeal, Udogie showed remarkable composure by returning to action just a week later, coming off the bench in Tottenham’s 3-0 victory over West Ham United.

The 22-year-old, who has been one of Spurs’ standout performers since joining from Udinese, continues to receive strong backing from the club and fans as investigations into the incident proceed.
