Italy striker of Ivorian descent, Moise Kean, is reportedly open to staying at Fiorentina despite reported interest from Spanish giants Barcelona.
The relationship between Kean and Fiorentina appears far from over. After a difficult spell at Juventus, where he endured a goalless campaign two seasons ago, the 25-year-old has rebuilt his confidence and form in Florence.
His resurgence has not only made him a central figure for Fiorentina but has also propelled him back into the spotlight with the Italian national team.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Kean’s preference is clear, with the forward keen on staying put. His impact has been evident, scoring decisive goals during a challenging period for the club and firmly establishing himself as the focal point of the Viola attack.
After netting 19 league goals last season, he has already added seven to his tally in the current campaign.
However, one major variable could still reshape the situation. Fiorentina’s fight for survival remains critical, and relegation would almost certainly trigger an exodus.
In such a scenario, Kean would be among the first names considered for a transfer, particularly given his reported annual salary of €4.5 million, excluding bonuses, following his contract extension until 2029.
For now, the direction is set, but the final outcome will hinge on how the season concludes. The coming weeks are likely to determine whether Kean’s revival story in Florence continues or opens a new chapter elsewhere in Europe.
