Italian giants AS Roma are interested in re-signing Egyptian international Mohammed Salah ahead of the winter transfer window.
The former African Footballer of the Year is currently under contract with Liverpool until summer 2027. However, Roma, has set sights on capturing the signature of the pacey winger until the end of the season.
Roma are said to be working behind the scenes in an attempt to capture Salah, who is not having the best of times with the Premier League giants.
Meanwhile, Roma face a stumbling block in their quest to secure the signature of the experienced forward. Salah’s huge salary appears to be an obstacle for the Italian outfit, as a loan deal for the Egyptian star could cost Roma 12 million euros over 6 months.
Salah returned to play for Liverpool in the Brighton match after the end of his dispute with the team’s coach, Arne Slott.
Salah is currently with the Egyptian national team in Morocco, after leading them to qualify for the round of 16 and face Benin.
The forward moved from Roma to Liverpool in the summer of 2017 and has had a golden career with the Reds so far.
Despite spending only two seasons with Roma, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah had a very strong impact on the Wolves.
Mohamed Salah scored 29 goals in 65 Serie A appearances during two seasons with Roma.
