Former English midfielder, Danny Murphy, has shared his view on the transfer speculations linking youngster Kobbie Mianoo away from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
According to him, it would be crazy for the English Premier League giants to allow the English-Ghanaian midfielder to leave the club.
Murphy, who watched the Europa League quarter-final second leg tie between Manchester United and Olympique Lyon at Old Trafford, said in a post on social media after the game.
Kobbie Mainoo came on as a substitute in that game and scored a beautiful goal for the Red Devils.
“The incredible 5–4 win over Lyon reminded everyone how crazy it would be to let Mainoo leave Old Trafford,” Danny Murphy said.
The ex-England midfielder further stated that he expects Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim to do everything in his power to ensure Kobbie Mainoo stays at the club.
“If I were Amorim, I’d ensure Mainoo stays. I’d be shocked if he left this summer,” Murphy concluded.
