It was incredible – Ghana’s Jeffery Schlupp on winning 2015/16 Premier League title with Leicester City
Ghana international Jeffery Schlupp has described Leicester City’s Premier League success in the 2015/16 season as incredible.
The former Black Stars was part of the Foxes side that were crowned Premier League champions during the 2015/16 season,
Speaking after his switch to Norwich City, the Ghanaian versatile player described Leicester City’s Primer League triumph as incredible while setting sights on a good start to the upcoming season.
“It was incredible. It’s hard to describe still, even coming up to 10 years next year. Still hard to describe how it all actually was, just amazing. We were a close group and spent a lot of time together, we got promoted together. We won the Championship together and then won the league two years after that. To do anything like that here, would be amazing, but first and foremost we want to get off to a good start to do something special by achieving our goals.” He said.
Born in Hamburg, Germany, to Ghanaian parents, Schlupp moved to England at a young age and progressed through the academy at Leicester City, going on to make 150 appearances across all competitions.
Since departing Leicester City in 2017, Schlupp has had spells with Crystal Palace, Celtic and is now in the books of Norwich City.
He would spend the next eight years with the Eagles, including time on loan at Scottish Premiership side Celtic last season, where he also lifted a league title.
