Talented Egyptian midfielder and Pyramids FC player, Ibrahim Adel, has opened up about his dashed hopes of joining Spanish side Getafe during the summer transfer window.
Speaking on the “Captain Egypt” program on On Time Sports, Adel described the emotional toll of the failed transfer and his aspirations for a European football career.
“It was difficult for me,” Adel admitted. “Getafe is a big team, and I would have played against Barcelona just 10 days after joining them.”
The 22-year-old, considered one of Egypt’s brightest prospects, revealed that moving to Europe had been a childhood dream.
Despite being on the verge of fulfilling it, he respected the decision of Pyramids FC to retain his services.
“Dreams almost came true, but I understood the club’s decision. God willing, I will get my chance for a suitable European experience,” he added.
Adel remains optimistic about his future, expressing gratitude to Pyramids FC for their openness in supporting his career goals.
As one of Africa’s rising stars, he continues to work toward achieving his dream of competing on the European stage.
Reports indicate that the midfielder has interest from some European clubs and could secure a move next summer.
