Issiaga Sylla Joins GFC Ajaccio on Season-Long Loan from Toulouse
GFC Ajaccio have strengthened their squad ahead of the new Ligue 1 campaign with the signing of Guinean left-back Issiaga Sylla. The 21-year-old joins the Corsican club on a season-long loan from Toulouse, as officially announced on Saturday.
Sylla, who was signed by Toulouse FC in 2012, has made 48 appearances in Ligue 1, scoring five goals during his time with the club. His arrival is expected to bolster Ajaccio’s defensive options as they prepare for their first season back in France’s top flight following promotion.
A regular for Guinea at the international level, Sylla brings valuable top-tier experience to a newly promoted side eager to prove themselves in Ligue 1. The loan move offers the young defender an opportunity for consistent playing time, as well as a platform to further develop his game at the highest level of French football.
