Isse Abdulkadir Ibrahim: Somalia defender joins Mogadishu City from Elman FC

Somalia centre-back Isse Abdulkadir Ibrahim has joined Mogadishu City from Elman FC in a completed move that strengthens the capital club’s defensive options.

The 27-year-old, who plays primarily at centre-back, switches between two of Mogadishu’s leading sides, with his transfer to Mogadishu City confirmed on 25 July 2026. He links up with the club he also represents at national competition level, Mogadishu City Club.

Ibrahim arrives with experience of continental football, having made four appearances in the CAF Champions League, playing every minute of those matches. That exposure to higher-level opposition is expected to add resilience and organisation to Mogadishu City’s back line.

Born on 1 July 1999, Ibrahim has established himself domestically in Somalia and now makes the move across the city at a key stage of his career. His ability to operate in the heart of defence gives Mogadishu City another option as they prepare for upcoming league and cup campaigns.

The transfer sees Ibrahim end his spell with Elman FC to continue his career with Mogadishu City from the 2026-27 season onwards.
