Senegalese referee Issa Sy has been appointed to officiate the CAF Champions League quarter-final second leg between ES Tunis and Mamelodi Sundowns on April 8 at the Hammadi-Agrebi Olympic Stadium in Radès.

CAF confirms match officials

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that Issa Sy will take charge of the crucial encounter, which kicks off at 19:00 GMT.

He will be supported by two fellow Senegalese officials, Djibril Camara and Nouha Bangoura, who will serve as assistant referees.

The fourth official for the match will also be Senegalese, Adalbert Diouf.

International oversight

Nigerian official Issa Yamien Yanfore has been appointed as the match commissioner, ensuring compliance with CAF regulations.

The selection of experienced referees underscores the importance of the fixture as both teams battle for a place in the semi-finals of Africa’s premier club competition.

High stakes in Radès

The encounter promises to be a tense affair, with both ES Tunis and Mamelodi Sundowns vying for a spot in the last four of the competition.

With the first leg’s result potentially playing a decisive role, Issa Sy and his team will be under intense scrutiny as they oversee proceedings in what is expected to be a high-stakes contest.
