Ismaily SC may launch an internal investigation into midfielder Ahmed El-Sheikh following a viral video in which he criticized the club’s management for neglecting his medical bills.
The board, led by Nasr Abu Al-Hassan, is reviewing the matter closely.
El-Sheikh voiced his frustration on Facebook, saying, “I preferred to leave for Ismaily even though I was about to sign for Modern Sport, but I love the Dervishes, and I appreciate the call from my former coach, the late Ehab Galal.”
He added, “I suffered a knee cartilage injury when I first joined Ismaily and played in March 2024, even though I wasn’t fully prepared for the team’s need for my services.”
“My injury recurred, and I traveled to Germany for treatment. I needed knee surgery. I went to Qatar to confirm my need for surgery and decided to seek treatment there. I didn’t receive any money from Ismaily at the time.”
“I sold my car to undergo treatment, and waiting for Ismaily is humiliating, especially since I received promises that were not kept.”
A club source confirmed the issue is under discussion, noting they await documents before taking any steps.
