Ismailia Electricity marked a proud milestone in its debut Egyptian Premier League campaign by earning its first-ever point in a spirited 2-2 draw against Petrojet at Petro Sport Stadium in Cairo.
The night began with challenges for the newcomers. Petrojet struck early through Ahmed Bahbah in the 8th minute, and by the 22nd, Palestinian striker Bader Musa doubled the lead from the penalty spot.
But the second half told a different story. Under the guidance of coach Reda Shehata, Ismailia Electricity returned with renewed energy. Mohamed El-Sayed Sheika sparked hope with a neat finish in the 54th minute, and just three minutes later, Saif El-Khashab powered home the equalizer, sending the visiting fans into celebration.
The draw places Ismailia Electricity 15th on the table, but the result felt like a small victory for the club and its supporters, proving they can hold their own at the top level. For Petrojet, coached by Sayed Eid, it was a second consecutive draw, leaving them with two points in seventh place.
