Ismaila Sarr pushes to leave Crystal Palace as Liverpool transfer talks stall
Ismaila Sarr will miss Crystal Palace training as he tries to force through a move to Liverpool, with the Eagles rejecting a second offer from the Reds for the Senegal winger.
Liverpool have made two proposals for the right-sided forward, who is keen to move to Anfield. However, Crystal Palace have so far refused to accept the latest bid and remain unwilling to give their approval for the transfer.
Sarr appears to have made his preference clear. The Senegal international does not want to continue his spell at Crystal Palace and is seeking a swift resolution to negotiations between the two clubs.
According to RMC Sport, Sarr is not expected to take part in the day’s training session. His absence comes as he continues to push internally for a move and makes his desire to leave London increasingly apparent.
The situation leaves Crystal Palace in control of the negotiations. Despite Sarr’s determination and Liverpool’s continued interest, the London club are standing firm and intend to protect their position in the deal.
Liverpool’s next offer could therefore prove significant. Sarr is determined to join the Reds, but the club of Andoni Iraola must still find a proposal capable of persuading Crystal Palace to change their stance. The dispute between the player and his current club, and between the two sides involved in the transfer, has now become increasingly pronounced.
Sarr remains under contract with Crystal Palace until 30 June 2029. His estimated market value is €45m, while his annual salary is reported to be €4,348,684, equivalent to 2,826,644,600 CFA francs.
The player’s position adds further pressure to a transfer situation that Liverpool have so far been unable to resolve. Crystal Palace’s rejection of the second bid means the Reds must decide whether to improve their offer or risk allowing the negotiations to remain deadlocked.
Crystal Palace are due to face Fulham in their third match of the Premier League season. The match is listed by betting company 1xbet, which also provides the option to download 1xbet, with Crystal Palace priced at 3.00 to win, a draw at 3.30 and Fulham at 2.20.
For now, Sarr’s absence from training is the clearest indication of the strain surrounding the proposed transfer. The Senegal winger wants to leave Crystal Palace, Liverpool are pressing for an agreement and the Eagles continue to hold the decisive position.
