Morocco’s Ismaël Saibari keeps transfer options open amid European interest
Ismaël Saibari has played down speculation over a summer move, insisting he remains focused on his current objectives with PSV Eindhoven despite interest from several leading European clubs.
The Moroccan midfielder has been linked with high-profile sides including Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and AC Milan, prompting questions about whether he is ready to take the next step in his career.
However, Saibari has indicated that no immediate decision has been made regarding his future.
Speaking in an interview with De Telegraaf, the 25-year-old explained that he is weighing his options carefully, with no urgency to leave Eindhoven.
“Every summer we evaluate the options and think about what is best. To stay or to leave,” Saibari explains in a long interview with De Telegraaf, discussing his chances of leaving this summer.
For now, his priority remains on-field performance, with a particular focus on securing silverware before turning attention to any potential transfer.
Saibari has not yet made a final decision. “In recent weeks, my goal has been to win the title, and after that, we’ll see.”
While he acknowledges the appeal of competing at the highest level, the midfielder emphasised the importance of timing when considering a move away from PSV.
“I think everyone is eager to play in a top-five league. Of course, it would be nice to play important games every week, but I’m waiting for the right moment to make the leap.”
Now in his fourth season with PSV’s first team, Saibari believes he is approaching a crucial stage in his development but remains committed to finishing the current campaign strongly.
“I understand ,” the PSV player replied to the newspaper De Telegraaf, which asked him if he understood the transfer rumors.
“This is my fourth season with the first team. I’m 25 years old. I want to finish the season first. Then there’s the World Cup. I’m focusing on that and we’ll see what happens after that.”
With major clubs continuing to monitor his progress, Saibari’s situation is likely to remain a talking point in the coming months.
However, his measured approach suggests that any decision will only come once his immediate objectives—both at club level and internationally—have been fulfilled.
