Ismael Saibari named Netherlands’ best player after outstanding PSV Eindhoven campaign

Moroccan international Ismael Saibari has been recognised as the best player in the Netherlands for the 2025/26 season following a remarkable campaign with PSV Eindhoven.

German giants Bayern Munich announced the achievement through their official website, highlighting the Moroccan midfielder’s impressive contribution during his final season in Dutch football before completing his move to the Bundesliga.

Saibari was presented with the prestigious Golden Boot award after producing a standout campaign that helped PSV Eindhoven enjoy domestic success. The Morocco international played an influential role as PSV secured the Dutch Eredivisie title as well as the Dutch Super Cup.

The 25-year-old made 37 official appearances for PSV across the season, finding the back of the net 19 times while also registering nine assists. His impressive combination of goals and creativity made him one of the standout performers in Dutch football.

His performances subsequently earned him the individual award, which is presented in the form of a gold-plated football boot.

Saibari’s impact was not limited to club football. The Moroccan international also continued to establish himself as an important figure for the Atlas Lions, producing strong displays on the international stage during the World Cup finals.

His performances for both club and country further enhanced his reputation and attracted the attention of Bayern Munich, who moved to secure his services during the summer transfer window.
