Ismael Saibari linked with Bayern Munich move

Bayern Munich have begun negotiations with PSV Eindhoven over a potential move for Moroccan international Ismael Saibari, as the German champions intensify their plans for the summer transfer window.

According to information published by journalist Fabrizio Romano on X, Bayern have officially entered the race to sign the attacking midfielder and have already opened discussions with the Dutch club regarding a possible transfer.

The move comes after Bayern were unable to secure the signing of Anthony Gordon, who instead opted to join Barcelona. Following that setback, the Bundesliga side quickly reassessed their options and identified Saibari as a leading target.

The 25 year old Moroccan has attracted growing admiration in Bavaria thanks to his versatility and ability to influence matches in several attacking roles.

His profile is understood to fit the qualities Bayern are seeking as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

Reports from Goal.com indicate that Saibari is also receptive to the move and has already given an agreement in principle to join Bayern this summer, should the clubs reach a deal.

However, negotiations are expected to be far from straightforward. PSV Eindhoven are under no immediate pressure to sell one of their most valuable assets.

The Dutch champions tied the midfielder to a contract running until June 2029 and are expected to demand a substantial fee before considering any transfer.

According to Transfermarkt estimates, Saibari’s current market value stands at around €40 million, a figure that could rise given the level of interest surrounding the player.

Bayern’s pursuit is largely driven by Saibari’s outstanding performances throughout the past campaign. The Moroccan international enjoyed one of the most productive seasons of his career, establishing himself as a key figure in PSV’s success.

He ended the season with 18 goals and nine assists across all competitions, underlining his importance to the Eredivisie side. His displays also caught Bayern’s attention during the UEFA Champions League, where he notably scored at the Allianz Arena against the German club.

While talks remain at an early stage, Saibari’s future is already shaping up to be one of the most closely watched stories of the 2026 summer transfer window.
