Isaac: SC Covilha eye move for Caldas and Ivory Coast forward in Liga 3 switch

Isaac, the Ivory Coast centre-forward currently at Caldas, is being linked with a move to Liga 3 rivals SC Covilha as the Portuguese summer window gathers pace.

The 21-year-old, who joined Caldas ahead of the 2025-26 season, is under contract until 30 June 2026 but is attracting interest after a campaign that saw him feature across league and cup competitions. Talks are understood to be at a preliminary stage, with Covilha exploring options to add depth in attack for the new season.

Isaac has operated through the middle for Caldas and has already experienced both Liga 3 and CP – Serie B football in Portugal. He made a handful of appearances last term, including minutes in the national cup, as he continued his adaptation to senior football in the country.

The forward arrived at Caldas on a free transfer from Machico ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, having previously played for Rio Tinto and Vilarinho. That pathway has kept him within the Portuguese pyramid and ensured he is a known quantity for Covilha’s recruitment staff.

Caldas face the prospect of losing a player who is only one year into his deal, though any move before next summer would require agreement between the clubs. For now, Isaac remains a Caldas player with a contract running through to the end of the 2025-26 season.
