Isaac Diouf: France-Senegal defender joins SC Toulon on free transfer from Chatellerault

France-Senegal centre-back Isaac Diouf has joined SC Toulon on a free transfer from Chatellerault. The 22-year-old defender, who is primarily a right-footed central defender, moves into the National 1 set-up after a spell in the French lower leagues.

Diouf arrives at Toulon following a short stay with Chatellerault, whom he joined in January 2026 from Poitiers FC B, also on a free. His move continues a steady rise through the French system, with Toulon adding him to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the new campaign.

The defender has already built up senior experience across league and cup competitions. Between National 2 and the Coupe de France, he has accumulated over 1,000 minutes at senior level, while also featuring regularly at under-19 level earlier in his career. During one of his National U19 campaigns he made 22 appearances, contributing an assist and close to 2,000 minutes of game time, underlining his capacity to play regularly across a season.

Before stepping into senior football, Diouf developed at several French clubs, including spells with Tours FC’s under-19s and Saran’s under-19 side. His early pathway also included time in the youth ranks at Istres and Montredon, giving him a broad grounding across different regional set-ups.

Diouf’s signing, completed as a free transfer on 30 July 2026, adds a versatile, right-footed central defender to Sporting Club de Toulon’s squad as they prepare for life in National 1 Group C.
