After a 22-year hiatus, Ipswich Town, featuring Sam Morsi of Egyptian descent born in England, has secured promotion back to the English Premier League after their relegation to the English Championship two decades ago, following a 5-0 defeat to Liverpool, where Mohamed Salah, currently with Liverpool, found the net.

This afternoon marked a triumphant return for Ipswich Town, led by Sam Morsi, to the English Premier League after defeating Huddersfield Town 2-0 at Portman Road in the 46th and final round of the English Championship, accumulating 96 points to secure second place.

Wes Burns Opens the Scoring for Ipswich

In the 27th minute of the first half, Wes Burns, an Ipswich Town player, opened the scoring with a right-footed shot from the right side of the penalty area, assisted by Connor Chaplin, slotting the ball into the bottom left corner past Huddersfield’s goalkeeper.

Sam Morsi’s Contributions

In the 40th minute, Omarie Hutchinson, another Ipswich Town player, attempted a right-footed shot from outside the penalty area, following an assist from Sam Morsi, narrowly missing the left post of Huddersfield’s goal.

In the 41st minute, Sam Morsi himself took a shot from outside the penalty area after an assist from his teammate Omarie Hutchinson, but Huddersfield’s goalkeeper managed to save it.

In the 48th minute of the second half, Omarie Hutchinson scored Ipswich Town’s second goal with a right-footed shot from the edge of the penalty area, once again assisted by Sam Morsi, placing the ball into the bottom right corner of Huddersfield’s goal.

In the 74th minute, Sam Morsi attempted a left-footed shot from outside the penalty area, but it was blocked by Huddersfield’s defense.
