Inter Milan are reportedly preparing a renewed approach to sign Oumar Solet from Udinese Calcio, as the French-Ivorian defender continues to attract attention across Serie A.

The 26-year-old, who came through the ranks at Stade Lavallois, has established himself as a key figure in Udinese’s defence, making him one of the league’s most sought-after players in his position.

According to Foot Mercato, Inter Milan plan to reopen negotiations in the coming month with the aim of securing an agreement for the centre-back.

Last summer, the Nerazzurri had expressed interest in Solet, but their bid was considered insufficient by Udinese’s management, who opted to retain the defender.

Despite this setback, Inter Milan remain determined and are positioning themselves as the frontrunners to sign him in the upcoming transfer window.

Udinese previously valued Solet at around €30 million, though his current market value is estimated at €20 million by Transfermarkt.

The defender is under contract with the Friulian club until June 2027 and earns an annual salary of approximately €1.3 million.

The pursuit of Solet reflects Inter Milan’s broader ambition to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the next season.

The club is reportedly prioritising the French-Ivorian as a key target, signalling their readiness to meet Udinese’s financial demands if necessary.

Solet’s performances in Serie A have caught the eye of multiple top-tier clubs, making him one of the most closely monitored defenders in Italian football.

How Udinese respond to Inter’s renewed interest, and whether they are willing to negotiate, will be pivotal in shaping the transfer saga this summer.

As the transfer window approaches, the Serie A defender market is expected to be highly competitive, with Solet firmly at the centre of attention for clubs seeking to reinforce their backlines.
