Inter Milan make formal approach in move to sign French-Congolese forward Christopher Nkunku
Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan are looking to sign France forward of Congolese descent, Christopher Nkunku, this summer.
The club has reportedly made formal contact with the attacker’s camp and hopes to secure his services in the coming weeks.
The 27-year-old forward is widely expected to leave Chelsea this summer following a frustrating campaign under new head coach Enzo Maresca.
Despite contributing to the club’s UEFA Europa Conference League triumph, Nkunku saw limited playing time and now appears poised for a fresh challenge.
According to L’Équipe, Inter have initiated contact with the player’s representatives to explore a potential move. While Maresca is not pushing for Nkunku’s exit, he also doesn’t view the former RB Leipzig star as central to his long-term plans at Stamford Bridge.
Nkunku’s camp is reportedly evaluating all options, aware that this could be a defining moment in the forward’s career.
Several European giants, including Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, Arsenal, and Manchester United, have been linked with the Frenchman. Notably, Liverpool are said to be out of the running.
The future of the attacker will become clear at the end of August.
