Inter Milan interested in signing English-Ivorian defender Marc Guehi

Italian outfit Inter Milan are reportedly interested in signing in-demand defender Marc Guehi.

The England international, who is of Ivorian descent, was close to leaving Selhurst Park during the last transfer window, with a move to Liverpool nearly completed before Palace halted the deal after failing to secure a replacement.

With his current contract set to expire at the end of the season, Liverpool remain strongly interested and could open talks over a pre-contract agreement as early as January.

However, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Inter Milan have now entered the race. The Serie A side, known for their strategic acquisition of free agents, have identified Guehi as a key target ahead of next summer.

Reports suggest the 25-year-old is open to the idea of joining Inter, though he has yet to make a final decision on his next move and is not currently prioritising a switch to Italy.

The future of the highly-rated centre-back will become clearer in the January transfer window.
