‘No one knows’ – Mohamed Salah camp cools transfer speculation after Liverpool decision
Ramy Abbas Issa, the longtime representative of Mohamed Salah, has moved to dispel intensifying rumors regarding the Egyptian’s next club, insisting that no destination has been finalized.
This firm denial follows Salah’s landmark announcement on March 24, 2026, confirming he will depart Liverpool at the end of the current campaign, drawing a curtain on a historic nine-year tenure at Anfield.
Taking to social media to address a flurry of reports linking the forward to lucrative moves in the Middle East and North America, Abbas Issa issued a blunt warning to supporters and the media alike.
The agent stated that neither he nor the player has committed to a new team, emphasizing that any claims to the contrary are purely speculative.
“We do not know where Mohamed will play next season,” Abbas Issa wrote. “This also means that no one else knows. Beware of those seeking attention through rumors.”
The clarification comes at a sensitive time for the Premier League giants. While Salah’s contract was extended in 2025 to run until 2027, the club reportedly reached a mutual “gentlemen’s agreement” to allow Salah to exit as a free agent this summer.
The decision follows a season marked by occasional friction, including a highly publicized touchline disagreement with head coach Arne Slot during a fixture against Leeds in December.
Despite the agent’s insistence on a blank slate, the football world continues to weigh several high-profile options.
The Saudi Pro League remains a frontrunner, with Al Ittihad and Al Hilal maintaining long-term interest in making Salah the face of their competition.
Simultaneously, Major League Soccer has emerged as a serious contender, with San Diego FC frequently mentioned as a potential destination.
For now, Salah remains a Liverpool player, with his camp maintaining that his immediate priority is securing silverware in the FA Cup and Champions League before his final walk down the Anfield tunnel.
